I am a wife of 36 years to a wonderful and supportive husband.  He and I are best friends, and I am so thankful that God brought him into my life.  We have 3 amazing daughters that we are so proud of that words cannot describe it.  We have 3 awesome and godly sons in law.  We are so thankful that God brought them into the lives of our daughters.  We have 9 grandchildren who are more precious to us that we can describe.  All of the above mentioned people in my life are the reason I am on this journey.  They are the reason I decided to take back my health and not just walk down the road of acquiescence  and take yet more drugs and “try” to eat better.  I KNOW where I will spend eternity and I know that this life is a vapor.  I have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and He is my only hope.

But while I am here on this earth I hope to be healthy and watch our grandchildren grow up!

I am writing this blog for 2 reasons:
1) So I will never forget how much God has helped me to change my life and my lifestyle. To remind me that he made our bodies to respond to the right fuel and function well with that right fuel. And also to never forget how it all happened!

2) So that I can share with others who are needing health and lifestyle changes for their own reasons and don’t know where to start or what to do. I have done literally hundreds of hours of research and put the good things of that research into practice and I am fully convinced that nutrition is the key to good health while we linger here on this planet awaiting our real home with Jesus. I want my blog to be a place where you can glean a lot of what I have learned and also know where else to go for more information. REMEMBER: When you set out to “reverse” or “cure” on degenerative health problem you will reverse them all! You can’t set out to fix “just your diabetes”, because when you are done, your blood pressure, cholesterol, vascular health, whatever will be better too! Nutrition does not put a band aid on the problem like drugs, it reverses the problem. God Bless You!

      The best way to get recipes is to look online. Try rawfamily.com and greensmoothiegirl.com for starters. I have developed my own recipe that packs all the punch I need for my health and lifestyle. It consists of 3/4 greens and the fruit, flax seed, bee pollen, turmeric etc is all in the other 1/4. I don’t recommend starting with that much greens, you should build up to that. But the more greens the better for your health! My smoothie recipe is on my blog. It is near the beginning so you have to go into the archives, probably August but it could be at the end of July, perhaps. The best way to get the most out of my blog is to start at the beginning and work your way up! Hope this helps! GreenSmoothieMimi
